polite

I've been chewing sugar free gum to keep from going totally insane. A friend at work mentioned that "you don't smile any more." I know it's because of the sugar. Absence of sugar.

So, the Orbit, the one with the flecks of flavor or whatever bursts. I found a Watermelon version. Sometimes you know though gum can be too soft or too chewy, and I may still believe that it has to do with shelf life rather than the flavor but ... digression.

I'm sitting today second seat in, and don't want to bother the woman next to me, nor do I want to get up at all because I'm a little tired and also always wear heels so I'm going to make a lot of noise to get up and throw my gum away.

but it has lost all of its elastic qualities and is basically putty in my mouth. ick. How come this isn't capitalizing? Yes it is. user error. So for as long as I am able I shove it under my tongue. But it is now becoming gritty and beginning to pull completely apart. I try again to store it between my cheek and teeth, but still it is losing continuity and then ... sort of accidentally ... I swallow it!

I felt mealy watermelon gum in the back of my throat for the next hour at best. But I didn't disturb the woman next to me or stomp across the room.
