While I have wanted to learn how to better organize my finances for some years now, it does feel more important now than before.
I regularly read books and blogs about personal finance.
I'm on my third attempt of a daily spending notebook. I got a gold one this last time to counterbalance the negative numbers I'm always writing down. At the end of March I plan to make a three month spreadsheet to reflect on where the money is all going.
So, why did I start this post?
Oh yeah ... here are two things I've started doing this year that have either environmental or financial ramifications in my life (or both!)
>Saving cans and bottles.
B was against this. He thinks it creates a mess and it is so much easier to just toss them in the "recycling" dumpster in the apartment complex.
>Buying the cheapest heavy duty tinfoil and reusing it.
Last night's asparagus cover is tonight's chicken thawing receptacle. Then I'll throw it away, I draw the line at salmonella. If it is for bread or vegetables or something I think is "safe" I use it more than twice.
